Mircoprose Soccer, which was developed by Sensible Software, is often hailed as the forerunner to the excellent Sensible Soccer and is a great little game in itself. With the 2010 World Cup in South Africa nearing, the classic soccer game has been updated by AEG Soft for the C64 to include the latest international teams and skill levels. A fine update of a classic game – what more could you ask for?

the link you provided (without the final “da” is linked to the picture, not to the game itself.

Anyway nice news! I adore that old game and it’s a pleasure that there’s still someone that actualize it (the same group made older world cup version, i see).

Heh… I remember Microprose Soccer back on the Atari ST. The banana kick looked great but was rarely effective (and it was absolutely impossible to beat Brazil!)

    Thanks justme. Link amended.

CaptainD, how are you? You’re right, the banana kick was pretty ineffective but looked great and was probably there for a bit of fun than anything else.
