Retro Gamer issue 78 hits the publication stores this week, although subscribers will have been enjoying the issue for a week now. Retro Gamer is a UK commercial magazine dedicated to retrogaming (although there is a small amount of current gen console stuff in there, too) which can be found across select stores in the UK, and some time afterwards across the globe, I imagine.  Here’s the highlights of this issue:

  • Cover feature: Lara Croft
  • Feature: Thunder Force
  • The making of… Rockstar Ate My Hamster
  • The making of… Shenmue
  • The making of… Xybots
  • Retroinspection: Atari 7800
  • From the Archives: Magnetic Scrolls
  • In the chair with… Roland Perry

Lara Croft isn’t retro, is crap.

Can’t say the modern Tomb Raider games are very retro, but as for the original… well, I’m sure many people would say that it is. Certainly, the Playstation and Saturn (which the original TR appeared on) can surely be classed as retro consoles.
